The corn snake was designed by God specifically for snake enthusiasts. They come in all sorts of colors and patterns. They are very easy to care for, very prolific, and they are gentle by nature. I focus my corn snake breeding around the "Lava" morph. It is also known as "hypo c," which basically means it is the third form of hypomelanism found in corn snakes. All that mumbo jumbo aside, the lava gene looks awesome! It causes the orange to be intensified and it reduces the black color and actually makes it appear silvery grey. When mixed with the anery gene, lava produces the "Ice" corn snake, which is beyond awesome! I am focusing my breeding efforts towards creating motley and striped versions of both the lava and ice morphs.

I first got interested in these snakes because we both have the same name. After acquiring a pair of hatchlings in 2002 they quickly became some of my favorite snakes. They are unbelievely tame and docile. When I open their tubs they slowly poke their head out to see what is going on. They readily slide up on my hand as I reach down to them. They are great eaters, fast growers and easy breeders. I believe these guys to be one of the best "pet" snakes in the trade. I loved them so much that in 2006 I expanded my collection to include some White-sided Axanthics. These are just great snakes!
